Description
Chipping hammers are robust tools designed for striking, breaking, and chipping away at hard materials like concrete, stone, and metal.
- Standard Chipping Hammer (or Pointed Chipping Hammer)
- Head This is the most common type. It has a pointed tip on one face and a chisel-shaped tip on the other.
- Brick Hammer
- Head
Similar to a standard chipping hammer, but often slightly smaller and lighter. It typically has a chisel edge on one side and a flat face or a slightly rounded face on the other. Some brick hammers may have a pointed tip as well, but the chisel is the defining feature.

- Demolition Hammer (often referred to as a “sledgehammer with a chisel” or “heavy-duty chipping hammer”)
- Head
These are much heavier and larger than standard chipping hammers. They typically have a broad, flat striking face on one side and a wide, thick chisel edge on the other.

- Riveting Hammer (sometimes confused with chipping hammers due to their striking action)

These hammers have a flat face on one side and a slightly rounded or dome-shaped face on the other. The faces are typically smooth.
